ARIES DAILY HOROSCOPE | MAR 21 – APR 19

There is a danger of feeling a little out of your depth, which could be down to a slight sense of stagnation or moving backwards. One particular relationship may be the prime culprit. Don’t act yet; make this a day where you immerse yourself in your work and look to the weekend for some resolution!

Today’s Numbers:   4, 11, 23, 27, 36, 42

TAURUS DAILY HOROSCOPE | APR 20 – MAY 20

Your work routine may be subject to some minor disruptions during the first part of the day, thanks to the brief Saturn/moon aspect. Little niggles and worries will seem to crop up out of nowhere. The afternoon should see some improvements, so schedule your day accordingly!

Today’s Numbers:  1, 8, 16, 25, 33, 49

GEMINI DAILY HOROSCOPE | MAY 21 – JUN 20

You could find that a double whammy of practical and financial concerns dampen your mood. The practical concern should be a temporary one and easily resolved after lunch. The financial niggles may not disappear so quickly. It may be prudent to rethink any spending plans!

Today’s Numbers: 7, 15, 22, 26, 33, 48

CANCER DAILY HOROSCOPE | JUN 21 – JUL 22

You might find that you are a little impervious to the day’s demands and requirements, especially in matters of friendship or romance. Be available for others so they can talk through their issues; offer help; don’t assume that everything is ticking along nicely, because chances are, it isn’t!

Today’s Numbers:   5, 13, 25, 33, 37, 41

LEO DAILY HOROSCOPE | JUL 23 – AUG 22

The Mars/sun combination indicates a need to moderate your approach when it comes to relationships in general, but this includes romance too. Leos who are currently attached may find romance hard-going, while singles should perhaps avoid getting entangled in any emotional issues for now!

Today’s Numbers: 6, 18, 22, 26, 33, 45

VIRGO DAILY HOROSCOPE | AUG 23 – SEP 22

Today’s prickly planetary formation can be put to good use, making it a good time to address a relationship issue. If you can avoid being a little too critical you should find that communications are much smoother. How you act may well influence how others react!

Today’s Numbers:  9, 12, 23, 36, 41, 46

LIBRA DAILY HOROSCOPE | SEP 23 – OCT 22

Communication features strongly for you but there may be a problem with accurately interpreting what you hear or learn. You’re likely to regard any developments in a very favorable light, which may well affect your judgment. Slip off those rosy spectacles before you respond!

Today’s Numbers: 7, 15, 28, 32, 35, 44

SCORPIO DAILY HOROSCOPE | OCT 23 – NOV 21

The Jupiter/moon aspect suggests that you may be inclined to give vent to your feelings. However, the timing is slightly out. By airing some underlying concerns, which are most likely related to your day-to-day life, you’re more likely to cause than resolve problems. Think twice!

Today’s Numbers: 5, 11, 24, 26, 40, 49

SAGITTARIUS DAILY HOROSCOPE | NOV 22 – DEC 21

A need to straighten out any current work/school matters may well be down to the Pluto/moon aspect. Clearing any outstanding tasks/assignments is all well and good, but it’s a day where you’re very likely to discard something that you’ll need further down the line. Proceed with caution!

Today’s Numbers:  3, 7, 18, 22, 31, 44

CAPRICORN DAILY HOROSCOPE | DEC 22 – JAN 19

Money matters will take center stage. You’ll be feeling the influence of the Jupiter/moon aspect through certain financial issues. Don’t brush them under the carpet. Deal with them. On the up-side though there’ll be enough of yesterday’s charismatic vibes to get a little support or assistance!

Today’s Numbers: 5, 19, 21, 38, 39, 41

AQUARIUS DAILY HOROSCOPE | JAN 20 – FEB 18

There will be enough low-level disruptive influences to turn this into a ‘walking through treacle’ day. It may be that other people’s opinions are coming through loud and clear. It’s possible that you’ll need work hard to make your voice heard over the din. It’s not a good time to seek extra help or support!

Today’s Numbers: 6, 18, 23, 27, 36, 42

PISCES DAILY HOROSCOPE | FEB 19 – MAR 20

The obstructive Jupiter/moon aspect will be balanced by one rather insightful influence, which will enable you to muddle through a mixed and slow kind of day. Friends could be worth their weight in gold, but only if you’re prepared to listen to work-related proposals and suggestions!

Today’s Numbers: 5, 19, 24, 32, 38, 43

ARIES DAILY HOROSCOPE | MAR 21 – APR 19

Communications are likely to be a little tricky, but if you plan ahead, then you will manage to neutralize the rather unreliable vibe. If you make this a day of empty gestures or careless promises, then you’ll probably make life more complicated than it needs to be!

Today’s Numbers:   5, 11, 14, 23, 32, 46

TAURUS DAILY HOROSCOPE | APR 20 – MAY 20

There’s a slightly pessimistic outlook that may influence good news. You could miss the point or even miss the hints and clues over one particular matter. Listen to your head rather than your heart, because it will offer a more objective view. There may be a second chance to redo something!

Today’s Numbers:  1, 8, 16, 25, 33, 48

GEMINI DAILY HOROSCOPE | MAY 21 – JUN 20

The planets zone in on new understandings; new agreements and a general air of progression. You might find one individual hard to take, but give them a little time. Don’t make too many assumptions regarding this person, because your judgment won’t be as sharp as it usually is!

Today’s Numbers: 4, 15, 19, 24, 36, 41

CANCER DAILY HOROSCOPE | JUN 21 – JUL 22

A boost of confidence will replace yesterday’s less ebullient vibe. You’ll certainly have a knack for knowing exactly what to say. However, whether you say it may be another matter entirely, since there is a slight tendency to remain too far in the metaphorical background!

Today’s Numbers:   3, 17, 29, 32, 35, 43

LEO DAILY HOROSCOPE | JUL 23 – AUG 22

The fiery moon will supply a boost on two fronts: there’ll be a surge of confidence and a surge of will-power. Use this combination for the good. Re-introduce some balance and restore what may be lacking or missing. The only downside to the vibe is a slight tendency to coast!

Today’s Numbers: 5, 12, 22, 26, 33, 48

VIRGO DAILY HOROSCOPE | AUG 23 – SEP 22

A marginally more impulsive approach is likely to make short work of the more mundane tasks, while a little spontaneity on your part might pave the way to a couple of one-off opportunities. However, the stress of committing to a minor risk could have a very slightly negative impact!

Today’s Numbers:  1, 14, 21, 34, 38, 45

LIBRA DAILY HOROSCOPE | SEP 23 – OCT 22

Constructive influences may well open up the communication lines. If you can resist a slight restlessness for long enough to read the signs, you could learn something interesting when it comes to the career front. However, it is a big if, given a potential but not quite complete development on the romance front!

Today’s Numbers: 2, 16, 23, 27, 35, 41

SCORPIO DAILY HOROSCOPE | OCT 23 – NOV 21

The fiery moon is likely to bring a slightly stubborn streak on the emotional front. It’s possible that there may be a minor letdown to negotiate or resolve. Your best strategy revolves around a calm approach. Let someone else figure out where they went wrong!

Today’s Numbers: 4, 13, 17, 26, 38, 49

SAGITTARIUS DAILY HOROSCOPE | NOV 22 – DEC 21

Despite the improving vibe, you may miss some advantageous news. Do pay attention to what is being said: incoming information may be patchy and therefore subject to misinterpretation. Not looking for littler flaws may help you to zone in constructively on a lingering matter!

Today’s Numbers:  5, 11, 29, 32, 37, 45

CAPRICORN DAILY HOROSCOPE | DEC 22 – JAN 19

Yesterday’s fluctuating vibe is likely to switch into a more dynamic one, thanks to supportive influences. Take the opportunity of the current mood to keep going when it comes to a specific matter. This could be related to a previous agreement that still requires completion!

Today’s Numbers: 2, 7, 16, 25, 34, 48

AQUARIUS DAILY HOROSCOPE | JAN 20 – FEB 18

Today should be an improvement on yesterday. If you have been feeling a little over-stretched by circumstances, then you should see certain pressures ease. It’s a day where something good could emerge unexpectedly. There’s a possible green light courtesy of incoming news too!

Today’s Numbers: 5, 13, 21, 26, 32, 46

PISCES DAILY HOROSCOPE | FEB 19 – MAR 20

Thanks to easier-going influences, there’s a fairly impulsive vibe about the day, but unlike most signs, taking full advantage of this may not come naturally to you, although there is one exception. What you may need to watch out for is dwindling will-power when it comes to financial transactions!

Today’s Numbers: 7, 15, 23, 34, 37, 40

Hanumanji a Pure Devotee of Lord Ram

It is an offence to blaspheme a devotee of the Lord.

Jyotishacharya Shastri Pundit Roshan Singh – Rohininandan das

Let us give praises to Hanumanji and seek his mercy and blessings to aid us in becoming a pure devotee like him. It is only then that one can make spiritual advancement.

The essence of Gaudiya Vaishnavism—loving service to God—as we celebrate the appearance day of Lord Ramachandra or make offerings to Him remembering Him as God’s form as the ideal leader. And who better to follow as the perfect example of selfless, devoted service than Lord Rama’s greatest devotee, the monkey warrior Hanuman?

We cannot, of course, imitate Hanuman’s actions. This is someone, who, as a newborn baby, tried to eat the sun because he thought it was a delicious-looking fruit, and would have succeeded had not Indra the lord of the demigods stopped him by striking him unconscious with his deadly thunderbolt weapon. He was then personally revived and granted untold powers by the creator Brahma, in an effort to pacify his father Vayu, the God of wind, who in a fury had taken away the ability to breathe from every living entity in the universe.

We can, however, follow Hanuman’s example of using his talents and capacities to the fullest in the Lord’s service.

Doing Our Very Best

Hanuman’s talent was strength, and a quick study of his life reveals endless examples of his using it to the fullest. When Rama’s wife Sita devi was kidnapped by the demon king Ravana, Hanuman jumped, with playful disregard, across thousands of miles of fathomless ocean to warn Ravana to release her.

Then, when the demon refused and launched an attack on him, Hanuman proceeded to kill eighty thousand of Ravana’s “Rakshasa” soldiers, then the great demon Jambumali, then the seven sons of Ravana’s ministers, the five commanders of Ravana’s armies, and finally Ravana’s own son Akshaya-kumara. He then set fire to the entire demon city of Lanka, before jumping back across the ocean to Lord Rama, who was extremely pleased with him when he delivered the news that Sita was safe.

Then it was time to go to war, and once again it was Hanuman who took the initiative, directing and participating in the construction of a bridge across the ocean to Lanka.

During the battle, Hanuman carried both Lord Rama and his brother Sri Lakshmana on his broad, strong back during confrontations with Ravana and Ravana’s deadly son Indrajit. In fact, Scriptures describe Hanuman as the best of all the Lord’s carriers, including Vishnu’s bird carrier Garuda.

One of Hanuman’s greatest moments occurred when Indrajit struck with black magic in the middle of the night, severely wounding Lakshmana and knocking him unconscious. Listening to advice from the physician Susena, Hanuman headed for Gandhamadana mountain in the Himalayas to bring back the herb visalya-karani, which alone could save the lives of Lakshmana and the many vanara soldiers that had also been injured. To do this, Hanuman had to defeat an army of protective demigods, uproot the entire mountain because he couldn’t distinguish which plant was the correct one, and swiftly return before it was too late.

Reading about all these incredible feats, we may feel inadequate. “How ridiculous will my meager efforts seem next to those of a devotee such as Hanuman?” we may think. “Will Lord Rama even care?”

A story from Hanuman’s own life answers this question. While Hanuman was hefting huge mountain tops into the sea to build the bridge to Lanka, he noticed a tiny spider brushing small particles of dust into the water with its legs to assist Lord Rama. He was about to brush the spider out of the way of his own serious work, when Ramachandra admonished him, saying, “Give up your pride! This spider’s devotional service is just as satisfying to me as yours. You are serving me according to your capacity, and he is serving Me according to his capacity.”

Two powerful lessons emerge here: the first is that whoever we are, we always have something to offer the Lord—and if we serve to our fullest capacity, with all our heart and soul, it will be accepted by Him as first class devotion. The second is that as we strive to do our best for the Lord, and progress in our service, we should never obstruct or belittle another’s devotional service, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem to us.

Caring for Others

Hanuman’s many feats of strength do not make him a brute—rather, he is very soft-hearted and caring. When he jumped across the ocean to warn Ravana and kill many of his men, for instance, he also gently comforted Sita in her distress, giving her Rama’s ring to assure her of his allegiance and promising her that her Lord would come and save her soon. Such care earned him a deep embrace from his master upon his return.

When the battle had ended and Lord Ramachandra had killed Ravana, Hanuman once again visited Sita, who was still in captivity, and brought life and joy back to her when he told her the good news. He then personally took her to meet her husband.

The Lord deeply appreciated such service, favoring Hanuman by presenting him with Sita’s gold necklace and granting him unflinching pure devotion to himself, Rama.

Simplicity

A devotee is very uncomplicated—his life is simply dedicated to doing whatever will please the Lord. This simplicity and innocent devotion is illustrated in a story told at Hanuman temples all over India.

When Hanuman was delivering Rama’s message and ring to Sita while she was being held captive by Ravana, he saw her applying reddish vermillion—known as “sindhur” or “kumkum”—in the parting in her hair, and asked what its purpose was.

“It is to give my husband Sri Rama a long life and to protect him from calamities,” Sita explained.
Hearing this, Hanuman thought, “If just a pinch of sindhur can protect Rama, how safe will a huge amount keep him?” He then promptly covered his entire body with sindhur.

When he returned to the other side of the ocean, where Rama was preparing his army of monkey warriors for war, the commander-in-chief Sugriva burst into laughter. Rama, however, gravely asked Hanuman why he had done such a thing. When Hanuman told him, Rama was deeply moved by this innocent show of Bhakti and proclaimed that any devotee who worshipped Hanuman with sindhur would receive His mercy and be able to cross all obstacles in devotional service.

Today, devotees at temples across India still worship Hanuman by anointing his deity form with sindhur.

Selfless Service

Hanuman is also endowed with many other wonderful qualities, all of which he uses to serve Lord Rama. In the Vaishnava text Brihad-Bhagavatamrita, the traveling saint Narada Muni learns of these while searching for the greatest devotee of the Lord.

The book describes Hanuman as free of all fear, strictly celibate, and extremely intelligent—he is a skilled poet, thoroughly learned in all Vedic literature, and gave excellent strategic advice during the battle with Ravana.

He also carried out medical services, treating Rama’s battlefield wounds, and sang beautiful songs for the Lord’s pleasure.

While Lord Rama was living in the forest, on exile from his kingdom, Hanuman used his huge white tail to provide the Lord with a white umbrella—a traditional symbol of royalty at the time. The same tail also served as a sunscreen canopy, a fan, and, when Hanuman was serving as the Lord’s vehicle, a flag.

Yet despite rendering all these services to Lord Rama, when the Lord offered him liberation as a reward, Hanuman did not accept it—he did not want anything in return other than more service.

“Even though liberation destroys the bondage of material existence,” Hanuman told Rama, “I have no desire for liberation, in which I would forget that You are the master and I am Your servant.”

Chanting the Lord’s Holy Name

It is stated in the scriptures that wherever rama-katha, stories about Rama, are recited, Hanuman comes to listen. He makes every endeavor to increase the bliss of Lord Ramachandra’s devotees, both in ancient times and today.

It is also said that the immortal Hanuman has vowed to remain in this world as long as the holy names of Rama are chanted.

Sure enough, ISKCON devotees all over the world are chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, which contains the name of Rama, every day.

So on the sacred appearance day of Lord Rama or any other day, as we hear stories of his pastimes, and chant the Hare Krishna mantra—the essence of which translates as “My dear Lord, kindly engage me in your service”—we can be sure that the great monkey warrior Hanuman is right there with us, listening and increasing our desire to serve his Lord.

ARIES

ARIES (MARCH 21–APRIL 19)

You’re all about connecting with your inner circle this month,  Aries, thanks to the full moon on the 3rd vibrating in your house of friendship. You’ll start calling and texting friends more, and just crave connecting with other people. Uranus moves into your money house on the 15th, making you focus on your budget. How much money do you actually need to achieve your goals?

Mars, the planet of action, is in your sign this month, urging you to create the perfect life for yourself. The new moon on the 18th inspires you to find creative ways to have fun while doing boring things. Impromptu laundry dance party, anyone?

TAURUS (APRIL 20–MAY 20)

You’ve got work on the brain this month, Taurus. The full moon on the 3rd is in your house of career, making you wonder what you want to be known for on the job front. Are you really giving it your all when it comes to your career, or are outside distractions getting in the way? At the same time, you’ll have a serious craving for freedom—just be smart about it. Doing something as simple as going for a bike ride outside your usual route can feel all kinds of energizing. Jogging is not recommended but you may take a normal walk around the brock a few times. Make this your daily practise as this is essential to maintain a good blood flow, clear your air passages and thereby allowing your mind to be happy and peaceful. A session of chakra balancing would do you well as this will open up a new horizon for you when the alignment is perfectly in tune with one another.

Are you known as the person who gets sh*t done, or do you fall more into the “phone it in” camp? If it’s the latter, you know what to do. You are dynamic and forceful. Do not use this against others but soften down and you will be able to get more from them in this way.

The new moon on the 18th is in your house of friendship, pushing you to be an even more awesome friend than usual (so…maybe keep that gossip to yourself). Talk to your astrologer to determine more about this major move which is in your charts.

When Uranus goes retrograde on the 15th, you’ll decide it’s time for a serious shake-up in your life. Even getting takeout from a new place or taking a different route to your friends will help freshen things up. Then, when the Sun moves into Virgo on the 22nd, you’ll take a hard look at your work.  Making use of a Maha Lakshmi Yantra set in copper will aid you to achieve the impossible. Is it pushing your career forward, or are you just spinning your wheels? If you’re feeling stuck, it’s definitely time for a change.

The full moon on the 3rd is in your money house, making you have a hard think on how you can create more cash flow in your life. Just don’t get too obsessive with ideas on how to win the lottery—sticking with practical, actionable stuff is really the way to go.

Start brushing up you CV and prepare to make the dreams become a reality as nobody is going to do anything for you but yourself. You have Saturn sitting in the background poking you with some negativity where it is a case of excessive endeavour without much results. People look at you but do not see you. You are not given the due recognition for all that you do for others. Have your horoscope readings revised and attend to the Saturn Sada Shati and make use of a Karya Siddhi Yantra to make your dreams come true.

Toward the middle of the month, you’ll find yourself daydreaming a little more than usual. Let your mind wander—it’s a seriously needed mental break. When the Sun moves into Virgo on the 22nd, you’ll get a serious rush of energy. What’s coming up next in your life, and how can you totally crush it? You’ve got this.

AQUARIUS (JANUARY 20–FEBRUARY 18)

Sometimes in life, you just need to do you. And the full moon on the 3rd is here to remind you of just that. Take some time to revel in whatever it is that makes you happy—it’ll feel so good. When Uranus goes retrograde on the 15th, you’ll start to think about what you can do to live life more on your terms. It could be as simple as changing up some décor at your place or as big as moving to a new city.

Heads up: When the Sun shifts into Virgo on the 22nd, you’ll be more tempted than usual to throw your practical side out the door and just follow your gut. You never know where it may lead.

The most slow moving Mercury is planning a major role in your life. You are very capable but unfortunately you do not get the due recognition for whatever you do. Take a look at your personal horoscope and appease his ill effects and be assured of great strides that will follow thereafter.  Making use of a Sri Sri Yantra will aid you to become an achiever.

So, pour yourself a delicious glass of your favourite drink, and kick back for the evening. Oh, and sleep in the next day, too. If it feels good, it’ll be just what you need right now. Venus is planning a very important role in your life presently and needs to be attended to astrologically. He is slow moving and is not allowing you to be progressive in all aspects of your life. Do take a look at your personal horoscope reading and determine where Venus is placed and take the necessary remedial measures to have this rectified. Make use of a Karya Siddhi Yanta set in copper for excellent results.

The new moon on the 18th is in your house of health and wellbeing, forcing you to take a closer look at how to make your daily must-do’s more fun and enjoyable. Maybe it’s time to try out a new workout app or to finally, actually sign up for that meal delivery service you’ve been mulling over if it makes your life a little easier.

This will bring a new and correct heart beat and stimulate a good and clear mind. Stress and anxiety will then be under control. It is time to have your chakras balanced as you have too much on your plate and mind at the moment. Money lost, nothing lost – health lost everything lost.

Can a Woman Do Pinda daan

Can A Woman do Pinda Daan

Jyotishacharya Shastri Pundit Roshan Singh – Rohininandan das

It was during their exile when Sitadevi had performed the Pind Daan of Lord Ram’s father Dasharatha in Gaya.

It is said that Lord Ram, along with his brother Laxman and wife Sitadevi, reached Gaya – the holy place where all Pind Daans are performed – during their exile. This was the time when both the brothers went away to collect the samagris for Pind Daan, leaving Sita alone near a river named Falguni.

Thereafter, Sita started crying in fond memory of his late father-in-law Dashratha. And, later, she saw two hands coming out of the river. She recognised those two hands were of Dashratha and then offered Pind Daan made of clay.

Later, when lord Ram returned and tried to offer Pind Daan, to everyone’s surprise, his offering was not accepted. Then, Sita explained to Lord Rama that she had already offered the rituals to late Dashratha.

However, Lord Ram didn’t believe Sita and asked for proof. This made Sita ask for the five bystanders- Falguni River, a Brahmin, a cow, a Tulsi plant and Akshaya Vatam (Banyan Tree) – in front of which she had performed the Pind Daan. Surprisingly, everyone lied, except the Akshya Vatam.

Agitated by this, an angry Sita cursed four of them stating that: a cow would never be paid homage from its front as the cow denied by shaking her head in a gesture of saying no, Brahmins of Gaya would always yearn for food and crave for more, Tulsi plants would never be cultivated in Gaya, and Falguni river was cursed to go to Patalpuri. Till date, this river is never seen, although the water still comes out while digging the land.

Pleased by Akshya Vatam’s honesty, Sita blessed the banyan tree to stay evergreen and whoever comes to Gaya to perform Pind Daan would perform it at Akshaya Vatam too.

Hence, the ancient tree has become immortal!

COVID 19 PREDICTIONS FOR SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER

If it’s a perfect prediction it has to be ASTROWORLD SOUTH AFRICA

COVID 19 PREDICTIONS FOR SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER

Jyotishacharya Shastri Pundit Roshan Singh – Rohininandan das

Astrology is complex as is life. The situation with the coronavirus has many layers to unravel in understanding the astrology behind it, the meaning and ultimately the purpose or how we can evolve and grow from this experience.  Right now the scientist keep saying they do not know what to expect from this virus as it is new. Let’s look at the astrological symbolism and the dance in the cosmos that is playing out and showing us a path during the unfolding of the coronavirus pandemic.

When Does The Coronavirus Peak?

The following paragraph was given in my previous article and has panned out exactly as predicted.

When will it peak or when will the curve flatten out?  The time frame for various countries will have the peak of the crises from April 26th to May 13th then see the curve flatten out.  This is a time that the Sun is conjunct Uranus and Mars has passed the halfway point of Aquarius on April 26th. Mars in Aquarius with Saturn in Aquarius is problematic for allergies and other air related illnesses, for the fact that Mars and Saturn are now both in air signs and the virus is an airborne disease. On May 13th Venus moves retrograde in the air sign of Gemini, (which is connected with breathing and the lungs) and she is conjunct Hygeia, the asteroid of hygiene, and Mars has moved out of the air sign of Aquarius, into the water sign of Pisces. However this is still a time of caution as Neptune, the planet that rules viruses is in Pisces. This will be a time of grieving for what was lost and acceptance of the spiritual gifts gained.

Does Astrology show if there will be a breakthrough for a vaccine or drugs to treat the Coronavirus?

When will there be a respite in the crises and when will drugs be available that will help the sick? I see this happening around June 23rd – 25th December.  The astrology that brings hope for resolution is the solar eclipse on the 23rd and Venus direct on the 25th as the sun is conjunct the asteroid Hygeia and is hopeful that we all have learned the ‘hygiene’ lesson and can begin anew. The Jupiter Pluto conjunction in June gives hope for a solution to help humanity. Further the Mars transit conjunct Neptune, the planet that signifies the virus and the insidious spread of it, will have completed by June 14th, which is another indicator of a peak time for countries lagging behind from the contamination from the spread across borders.

Does the Astrology Indicate the Virus Reoccurring Again?

Will it come back around? Most likely yes, that or another since Saturn moves back into Aquarius  Dec 17th and the solar eclipse December 14th  will likely be prevalent and in the media again. However the three separate Jupiter Pluto conjunctions in 2020 propel the advancement of business and cooperation along with the Jupiter Saturn conjunction in Aquarius which is fabulous for scientific studies, inventions, and advancements. There will be a vaccine developed by then and or other remedies that will be shown to treat this novel virus.

It is helpful to think of the planets as archetypes, that embody qualities and attributes they want to share. As in humans, they have a good side and a difficult side. Or another way to express it is they have a positive position and a negative manifestation. The planets have their viewpoints, a way of being, and they shower that energy to us at different times.

Viruses are a Neptune thing. That part is simple, so let’s first begin with what Neptune has to say. When an outer planet, such as Neptune, reaches its halfway point through the sign it is traveling through there is a reveal moment for us to understand how the planets passage through the sign. Whenever a planet is at its station point, direct or retrograde it is at its strongest time. That occurs twice a year for a few days before and after it moves again. Neptune stationed at the halfway point of 15 degrees on November 27th 2019 the day after the new moon in Sag.  This is the point that indicates the virus beginning to rapidly spread.  Rahu was conjunct Pluto indicating a secret meeting metaphorically speaking, that will develop into either being frozen with fear, or deep stillness and contemplation.

The next major event is with the Saturn/Pluto conjunction with Rahu,

Saturn/Pluto is a major time that has not happened since 1981/1982. This time around in Capricorn has to do with major changes in government and corporations, eliminating greed and corruption. The virus has a hand in making this come about.

The Saturn/Pluto conjunction happened January 12th and the crisis in Wuhan was well underway and growing at alarming rates. Rahu is part of the conjunction and forced stillness is part of this process, in mandatory lock downs and curfews. Saturn is connected with elders, the older population, Pluto is connected with death, Neptune is connected with the immune system, and the virus is particularly difficult on the elderly population or those with a compromised immune system.

What the planets are saying: the positive side

Saturn: Make a plan, be prepared, use what you have and eliminate waste and extravagance.

Neptune: Find solace in retreat and spiritual practice. Let go and embrace compassion. You are more than who you think you are, you are of spirit, let go of ego identity that is attached to job, position, ideals, material acquisitions.

Pluto: Find your strength and personal power from within. Know who to trust and who not to trust. Come to terms with the fact that you will leave your body, your loved ones, and live your life with intent. Be willing to face your inner demons, the past that hurt, warped, and formed you. Come to terms with your inner psychological nature and allow for the transformation into a new you. Empower yourself and be fearless enough to be willing follow your passion, something that inspires you.

Be still; find the inner essence of quiet stillness.

Saturn/Pluto Conjunction: Recreate your professional life. Take a long hard look at the road you are on and be honest about where you will end up. Build your reputation, use your intuition to understand the changes that are happening that you cannot control and find ways and means that put you back in the driver seat of your life.

What Are The Astrological Signatures For Getting Sick?

It is a time to stay centered, to focus, and fill your heart with faith, peace, and love. Stay healthy in mind, body, and spirit. For those of you with a Neptune and or Saturn transit to your sun, moon, sun/moon midpoint, and/or the ruler of your sixth house of health, be super vigilant in protecting your health. Uranus also has a hand in sudden illness that catches you by surprise. Pluto is always tricky; although is also an indicator of losing someone you love and care about when connected to your moon and Venus. Do check your own horoscopes to determine where you are situated.

The cosmos has said it is time for a sabbatical; pay attention to your health and reassess what is most precious to you and what you really need to survive. Catch up on everything that you have put on the back burner and most of all surround yourself and those you care about with love and gratitude.

How to offer Tarpan to our ancestors

Jyotishacharya Shastri Pundit Roshan Singh – Rohininandan das

Dedicate Positive Actions in the Name of the Ancestors

Nearly all traditions have some way of recognizing the spiritual benefit of good deeds and generosity. Charity in Christianity traditions, sadaqah in Islam, tzedakah in Judaism, and dana in Buddhism and Hinduism are but a few religious expressions of a nearly universal theme of practicing generosity and affirming our inter-relatedness with and care for others. Traditional, indigenous ways of life also tend to emphasize the need for sharing wealth and the blessings that flow from living a helpful, service-oriented life. In this way, engaging in loving and truly helpful actions results in the accumulation of tangible and usable energy in the energetic field or body of the one taking the action.

Most people instinctively grasp a related principle that the energetic effects of actions can, at least to some degree, be directed or linked to others who did not carry out the actions themselves. To illustrate this, imagine someone privately donating ten million dollars in your name toward feeding and housing the homeless in your area. Compare this with someone doing a private ritual to dedicate an impending act of genocide in your name; clearly less cool. In neither case are you the one carrying out the actions themselves. This principle is already widely applied through the practice of making charitable contributions in the name of the recently deceased by their loved ones.

Having a clear focus, a meaningful activity, and personally connecting with the process of elevating the consciousness of your beloved dead all help to enhance the effectiveness of this practice. For example, if you have the sense that your grandmother’s spirit is not at peace or if she is well and you just wish to celebrate her life and spirit, consider specifically dedicating a positive action to her rather than to all your ancestors in general. The more specific the target of the offering, the more concentrated the effects. Also, try to choose a type of service or action that fits the recipient’s unique life and spirit. If your father was racist or engaged in domestic violence, you might donate to a charitable organization working for racial healing or a battered women’s shelter. Likewise, if the deceased loved local wildflowers, a dedicated day of service to the Native Plant Society can enhance the intimacy, emotional charge, and effectiveness of the offering. Finally, taking the time to set clear intent and emotionally connect to the process can help insure the positive energy generated actually reaches the intended target.

How To Perform Tarpan

Items needed:

  • Water
  • Milk
  • Raw rice
  • Black or white sesame seeds
  • Jav seeds
  • 18 coins, (coins can be reused)
  • Chandan
  • Flowers or petals
  • Kusha grass

Prepare the offering:

  • Cut the Kusha grass into 6 equal pieces, around 4 inches long. (This represents 6 generations on both sides of your family)
  • Line up vertically the 6 pieces of Kusha grass on a tray or large leaf, leaving a little space between each
  • Make a paste with chandan by adding water to it; spread the paste onto the kusha grass
  • Place 3 coins on each piece of grass at the top, middle and bottom
  • Sprinkle flowers over these items
  • Place a tablespoon of rice mixed with a teaspoon of sesame seeds in the palm of your right hand.

The Offering:

  • Sprinkle a few drops of water on the rice and sesame seeds in your right hand
  • Say the following:

“I invite 6 generations of my ancestors on my mother’s side and 6 generation of ancestors on my father’s side to take this offering”.

Pour water with left hand over the mixture in your right hand, and let everything fall onto the kusha grass, coins and flowers.

Say a sincere prayer: “Use this energy and be healed, be at peace, cross into the light and please bless me and your progeny.”

Make sure everything is washed off your right hand. You may reuse the coins, or discard everything at a river, beach or in nature. You may accumulate offering remnants and discard later.

You may now place the above mentioned items in a dish of water with a little milk and make offerings with cupped palms of your hands.  Make a ring of the Kusha Grass and put it on, on the ring finger of your right hand. Take three strands of Kusha grass and place them across both your cupped palms.  Make three offerings towards the left, three offerings towards the right and three forward offerings.    This is done while you face the south.

I wish to offer my most humble blessings to you and your family.

May your ancestors return back home, back to Godhead.

Your ever well wisher

yena sva-rociṣā viśvaṁ
rocitaṁ rocayāmy aham
yathārko ’gnir yathā somo
yatharkṣa-graha-tārakāḥ

Synonyms

yena — by whom; svarociṣā — by His own effulgence; viśvam — all the world; rocitam — already created by His potency; rocayāmi — do manifest; aham — I; yathā — as much; arkaḥ — the sun; agniḥ — fire; yathā — as; somaḥ — the moon; yathā — as also; ṛkṣa — the firmament; graha — the influential planets; tārakāḥ — the stars.

Translation

I create after the Lord’s creation by His personal effulgence [known as the brahmajyoti], just as when the sun manifests its fire, the moon, the firmament, the influential planets and the twinkling stars also manifest their brightness.

Purport

Lord Brahmājī said to Nārada that his impression that Brahmā was not the supreme authority in the creation was correct. Sometimes less intelligent men have the foolish impression that Brahmā is the cause of all causes. But Nārada wanted to clear the matter by the statements of Brahmājī, the supreme authority in the universe. As the decision of the supreme court of a state is final, similarly the judgment of Brahmājī, the supreme authority in the universe, is final in the Vedic process of acquiring knowledge. As we have already affirmed in the previous verse, Nāradajī was a liberated soul; therefore, he was not one of the less intelligent men who accept a false god or gods in their own ways. He represented himself as less intelligent and yet intelligently presented a doubt to be cleared by the supreme authority so that the uninformed might take note of it and be rightly informed about the intricacies of the creation and the creator.

In this verse Brahmājī clears up the wrong impression held by the less intelligent and affirms that he creates the universal variegatedness after the creation by the glaring effulgence of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Brahmājī has also separately given this statement in the saṁhitā known as the Brahma-saṁhitā (5.40), where he says:

yasya prabhā prabhavato jagad-aṇḍa-koṭi-
koṭiṣv aśeṣa-vasudhādi-vibhūti-bhinnam
tad brahma niṣkalam anantam aśeṣa-bhūtaṁ
govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi

“I serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead Govinda, the primeval Lord, whose transcendental bodily effulgence, known as the brahmajyoti, which is unlimited, unfathomed and all-pervasive, is the cause of the creation of unlimited numbers of planets, etc., with varieties of climates and specific conditions of life.”

The same statement is in the Bhagavad-gītā (14.27). Lord Kṛṣṇa is the background of the brahmajyoti (brahmaṇo hi pratiṣṭhāham). In the Nirukti, or Vedic dictionary, the import of pratiṣṭhā is mentioned as “that which establishes.” So the brahmajyoti is not independent or self-sufficient. Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa is ultimately the creator of the brahmajyoti, mentioned in this verse as sva-rociṣā, or the effulgence of the transcendental body of the Lord. This brahmajyoti is all-pervading, and all creation is made possible by its power; therefore the Vedic hymns declare that everything that exists is being sustained by the brahmajyoti (sarvaṁ khalv idaṁ brahma). Therefore the potent seed of all creation is the brahmajyoti, and the same brahmajyoti, unlimited and unfathomed, is established by the Lord. Therefore the Lord (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) is ultimately the supreme cause of all creation (ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavaḥ).

One should not expect the Lord to create like a blacksmith with a hammer and other instruments. The Lord creates by His potencies. He has His multifarious potencies (parāsya śaktir vividhaiva śrūyate). Just as the small seed of a banyan fruit has the potency to create a big banyan tree, the Lord disseminates all varieties of seeds by His potent brahmajyoti (sva-rociṣā), and the seeds are made to develop by the watering process of persons like Brahmā. Brahmā cannot create the seeds, but he can manifest the seed into a tree, just as a gardener helps plants and orchards to grow by the watering process. The example cited here of the sun is very appropriate. In the material world the sun is the cause of all illumination: fire, electricity, the rays of the moon, etc. All luminaries in the sky are creations of the sun, the sun is the creation of the brahmajyoti, and the brahmajyoti is the effulgence of the Lord. Thus the ultimate cause of creation is the Lord.

ŚB 2.5.12

तस्मै नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय धीमहि ।
यन्मायया दुर्जयया मां वदन्ति जगद्गुरुम् ॥ १२ ॥

tasmai namo bhagavate
vāsudevāya dhīmahi
yan-māyayā durjayayā
māṁ vadanti jagad-gurum

Synonyms

tasmai — unto Him; namaḥ — offer my obeisances; bhagavate — unto the Personality of Godhead; vāsudevāya — unto Lord Kṛṣṇa; dhīmahi — do meditate upon Him; yat — by whose; māyayā — potencies; durjayayā — invincible; mām — unto me; vadanti — they say; jagat — the world; gurum — the master.

Translation

I offer my obeisances and meditate upon Lord Kṛṣṇa [Vāsudeva], the Personality of Godhead, whose invincible potency influences them [the less intelligent class of men] to call me the supreme controller.

Purport

As will be more clearly explained in the next verse, the illusory potency of the Lord bewilders the less intelligent to accept Brahmājī, or for that matter any other person, as the Supreme Lord. Brahmājī, however, refuses to be called this, and he directly offers his respectful obeisances unto Lord Vāsudeva, or Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the Personality of Godhead, as he has already offered the same respects to Him in the Brahma-saṁhitā (5.1):

īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ
sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḥ
anādir ādir govindaḥ
sarva-kāraṇa-kāraṇam

“The Supreme Lord is the Personality of Godhead Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the primeval Lord in His transcendental body, the ultimate cause of all causes. I worship that primeval Lord Govinda.”

Brahmājī is conscious of his actual position, and he knows how less intelligent persons, bewildered by the illusory energy of the Lord, whimsically accept anyone and everyone as God. A responsible personality like Brahmājī refuses to be addressed as the Supreme Lord by his disciples or subordinates, but foolish persons praised by men of the nature of dogs, hogs, camels and asses feel flattered to be addressed as the Supreme Lord. Why such persons take pleasure in being addressed as God, or why such persons are addressed as God by foolish admirers, is explained in the following verse.

ŚB 2.5.14

द्रव्यं कर्म च कालश्च स्वभावो जीव एव च ।
वासुदेवात्परो ब्रह्मन्न च चान्योऽर्थोऽस्ति तत्त्वत: ॥ १४ ॥

dravyaṁ karma ca kālaś ca
svabhāvo jīva eva ca
vāsudevāt paro brahman
na cānyo ’rtho ’sti tattvataḥ

Synonyms

dravyam — the ingredients (earth, water, fire, air and sky); karma — the interaction; ca — and; kālaḥ — eternal time; ca — also; svabhāvaḥ — intuition or nature; jīvaḥ — the living being; eva — certainly; ca — and; vāsudevāt — from Vāsudeva; paraḥ — differentiated parts; brahman — O brāhmaṇana — never; ca — also; anyaḥ — separate; arthaḥ — value; asti — there is; tattvataḥ — in truth.

Translation

The five elementary ingredients of creation, the interaction thereof set up by eternal time, and the intuition or nature of the individual living beings are all differentiated parts and parcels of the Personality of Godhead, Vāsudeva, and in truth there is no other value in them.

Purport

This phenomenal world is impersonally the representation of Vāsudeva because the ingredients of its creation, their interaction and the enjoyer of the resultant action, the living being, are all produced by the external and internal energies of Lord Kṛṣṇa. This is confirmed in the Bhagavad-gītā (7.4-5). The ingredients, namely earth, water, fire, air and sky, as well as the conception of material identity, intelligence and the mind, are produced of the external energy of the Lord. The living entity who enjoys the interaction of the above gross and subtle ingredients, as set up by eternal time, is an offshoot of internal potency, with freedom to remain either in the material world or in the spiritual world. In the material world the living entity is enticed by deluding nescience, but in the spiritual world he is in the normal condition of spiritual existence without any delusion. The living entity is known as the marginal potency of the Lord. But in all circumstances, neither the material ingredients nor the spiritual parts and parcels are independent of the Personality of Godhead Vāsudeva, for all things, whether products of the external, internal or marginal potencies of the Lord, are simply displays of the same effulgence of the Lord, just as light, heat and smoke are displays of fire. None of them is separate from the fire — all of them combine together to be called fire. Similarly, all phenomenal manifestations, as well as the effulgence of the body of Vāsudeva, are His impersonal features, whereas He eternally exists in His transcendental form called sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḥ, distinct from all conceptions of the material ingredients mentioned above.
